Hosanna Storyteller Series

The March installment of Hosanna School Museum’s Storyteller Series will feature costumed interpreter Brittany Martin. Martin will portray Edmonia Highgate, Hosanna’s first teacher, who was an intriguing and fiery associate of Frederick Douglass. She is featured in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Between February and June, Hosanna will feature leading storytellers from the region to share relevant stories inspired by the African American experience in a Sestercentennial Storytelling Series that will be presented monthly. The Series will feature one storyteller per month and culminate in the final performances at our Upper Bay Juneteenth Festival 2023.
