Dr. James Gibb, Director of the Smithsonian Environmental Archaelogy Laboatory and Dr. Adam Fracchia, research associate and practicing archaelogist at the University of Maryland and the Smithsonian Institution will provide a virtual presentation on the general history of the rise and fall of Old Joppa Town (1727 – 1768) as it is currently understood based on past and current archaeological work in the town and describe how those discoveries contribute to our understanding of the American Revolution.
