June 30th 5pm – 7pm

The show runs from June 30, 2023 until October.

“Between Wind and Water” is a sculpture presentation presented by Sarah Peoples. The phrase is a colloquial nautical term used to describe the moment when a person is placed into a vulnerable, precarious position. This term refers to the vessel’s hull when it is exposed to the water by the action of the water’s current or rolling waves. Although wind and water have an unbreakable partnership it is a precariously co-dependent, symbiotic yet reactionary, kind of relationship. We now find ourselves Between Wind and Water as we bear witness to nature’s reaction to humankind’s habitual mistreatment of Earth.
